Assoc. Prof. Sansanee Auephanwiriyakul, Chiang Mai University, Thailand
Sansanee Auephanwiriyakul (S’98–M’01) received the B.Eng. (Hons.) degree in electrical engineering from the Chiang Mai University, Thailand (1993), the M.S. degree in electrical and computer engineering and Ph.D. degree in computer engineering and computer science, both from the University of Missouri, Columbia, in 1996, and 2000, respectively. After receiving her Ph.D. degree, she worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the Computational Intelligence Laboratory, University of Missouri-Columbia. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering and a deputy director of the Biomedical Engineering Institute, Chiang Mai University, Thailand. Dr. Auephanwiriyakul is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). She is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy System, the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE Computational Intelligence Magazine, IEEE Transactions on Artificial Intelligence, Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, and ECTI Transactions on Computer and Information Technology. She was a general chair of the IEEE International Conference on Computational Intelligence in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (CIBCB 2016). She will be a general chair of the IEEE World Congress on Computational Intelligence (WCCI) 2024 (IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems 2024). She was a Technical Program Chair, Organizing Committee in several major conferences including the IEEE International, Conference Fuzzy Systems. She is also a member of several important IEEE CIS technical committees. 
 
 
 

Assoc. Prof. Giuseppe Carbone, University of Calabria, Italy
Giuseppe Carbone has got his PhD degree in Robotics from the University of Cassino, Italy, in 2004 where he has been Assistant Professor and Key Member of the Laboratory of Robotics and Mechatronics (LARM) for about 15 years. He has been visiting professor at Universidad Carlos III of Madrid, Beihang University, Waseda University, and several other well-reputed International Research Institutions. From 2018 to 2021 he has been Visiting professor at Sheffield Hallam University, UK where he served as Senior Lecturer and member of the Executive board of Sheffield Robotics from 2015 to 2017. From 2018 he has been Associate Professor at University of Calabria, Italy. From 2020 he is Chair of IFToMM TC on Robotics and Mechatronics. Among others he is Treasurer of the IFToMM Italy Member Organization, Editor-in-Chief of Robotica Journal (Cambridge Univ. Press), Section EIC of Journal of Bionic Engineering, MDPI Robotics, MDPI Machines, Technical Editor of IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics. He published over 400 research paper outputs. He has been PI or co-PI of more than 20 projects including 7th European Framework and H2020 funds. He has received more than 20 Best Paper awards and more than 10 International Best Patent awards.
 
 
 

Assoc. Prof. Angelo Genovese, Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy.
 
Angelo Genovese (S'12-M'15-SM'22) received the Ph.D. degree in computer Science from the Università degli Studi di Milano, Milan, Italy, in 2014. He has been an Associate Professor in Computer Science with the Università degli Studi di Milano since 2022. He has been a Visiting Researcher with the University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada. Original results have been published in over 60 papers in international journals, proceedings of international conferences, books, and book chapters. His current research interests include signal and image processing, artificial intelligence for medical imaging, industrial and environmental monitoring systems, and design methodologies and algorithms for self-adapting systems. He is an IEEE Senior Member. Dr. Genovese is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Ambient Intelligence and Humanized Computing (Springer) and Array (Elsevier). Professor Umesh C. Pati, National Institute of Technology Rourkela, India (IEEE Senior Member)
Dr. Umesh C. Pati is a Full Professor at the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela. He has obtained his B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, Odisha. He received both M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Instrumentation and Image Processing, respectively, from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur.
His current areas of interest are Image/Video Processing, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Medical Imaging, Internet of Things (IoT), Industrial Automation, and Instrumentation Systems. He has authored/edited two books and published more than 125 articles in peer-reviewed international journals and conference proceedings. He has served as a reviewer in many reputed international journals and conferences. He has delivered many Keynote/Invited Talks at various International/National platforms. He has also guest-edited Special Issues of Cognitive Neurodynamics and the International Journal of Signal and Imaging System Engineering. Dr. Pati has filed 3 Indian patents. Besides other sponsored projects, he is currently associated with a high-value IMPRINT project, “Intelligent Surveillance Data Retriever (ISDR) for Smart City Applications,” which is an initiative of the Ministry of Education (formerly the Ministry of Human Resource Development) and Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Govt. of India.
He has visited countries like the USA, Italy, Austria, Singapore, Mauritius, Nepal, etc., concerning research collaboration and paper presentation. He was also an academic visitor to the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, San Diego State University, USA, and the Institute for Automation, University of Leoben, Austria. He is a Senior member of IEEE, a Fellow of The Institution of Engineers (India), a Fellow of The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), and a Life member of various professional bodies like MIR Labs (USA), The Indian Society for Technical Education, Instrument Society of India, Computer Society of India, and Odisha Bigyan Academy. His biography has been included in the 32nd edition of MARQUIS Who’s Who in the World 2015.
